ALERT: The Saints have ruled out Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Derek Carr for Monday Night.

You know it's going to be an interesting day when Braylon Edwards and Michael Crabtree are in the headlines.

The Cleveland Browns announced that they have traded Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets. If Mark Sanchez was looking for another target, he got it.

The Browns will get Chansi Stuckey and Jason Trusnik. They have also included some future draft picks, however specific details are unknown at this time.

Sanchez and the Jets finally get the deep threat that they need in Edwards. Sanchez has the ability and poise in the pocket to throw the long ball and Edwards could be the guy with the breakaway speed needed to really open things up in New York.

With the play-making abilities of Edwards, the Jets are also going to get the off-the-field problems as well. Edwards is currently dealing with an NFL investigation into an alleged fight outside a nightclub involving a friend of LeBron James of the Cleveland Cav's.

Edwards is currently ranked at #47 among WR's in the Week 5 FFN Rankings. I would anticipate a small boost in that ranking at least in the short term.

Michael Crabtree ended his 71-day holdout by finally agreeing to a 6-year contract deal. Crabtree is expected to be at practice today.

Crabtree is not yet in the FFN rankings. Watch for his inclusion sometime this week, however temper your expectations as to where he'll fall.

Crabtree will have an immediate impact on the Niners-For better or worse he will be a part of the game plan sooner than later. He has the potential to be a great one and the league no longer has patience to 'bring' a player of his caliber "along." For that type of money, he plays now.

I'm not sure about that. The reports that I've seen show no indication that they plan to make him a focus of their offense any time soon. Perhaps later this year, but certainly not this week. He still needs to learn the offense and we have no idea what shape he's in.

We'll simply have to agree to disagree on this one.
