Week 6 Fantasy Football Where to Put em

Put 'em In The Game: Joe Flacco
Flacco hasn't yet panned out the way we hoped he would, but to be fair, he's had to face some pretty tough teams in the Jets and the Steelers. The talent is there. The receivers are there. The line is there. Now we need the numbers. In what we expect to be a shootout between two unfriendly teams, Flacco has the opportunity to exploit a Patriots defense that has been one of the most generous to opposing QB's.

Put 'em In The Game: Matt Cassel
If you're in need of a bye week replacement, Matt Cassel could be your guy. Cassel has been one of the poorest performing QB's this year only reaching double digit fantasy points once. So why would we recommend him? Simple - we've seen him throw well in the past and his match up this week against the Texans just begs for a solid stat line. He's still available in 50% of FleaFlicker leagues and would make for a nice bye-week filler this week.

Put 'em In The Game: LaDainian Tomlinson
We're not ready to put LT back on the Stud List, but his performance as of late has been impressive for a back considered to be finished. LT and the Jets face a Denver defense that gave up 20+ points to Ray Rice last week. The Broncos allow an average of 127 yards on the ground. Tomlinson should get the bulk of those.

Put 'em In The Game: Ahmad Bradshaw
Say what you want about the Detroit defense, but they ARE getting better. Unfortunately for Lions' fans, they can still be exploited and regularly are by talented teams. Ahmad Bradshaw has solidified himself as the starter in NY and as a starter in all fantasy leagues. Bradshaw-owners know that he's feeling the pain from a sore ankle, but even that won't be enough to stop him from racking up yards from the Lions who allow more than 130 yards per game.

Put 'em In The Game: Malcom Floyd
Vincent Who? Malcom Floyd has been fantasy gold in what's-his-name's absence. Floyd has failed to achieve double digit fantasy weeks in Weeks 1 and 4 but has seen 20+ points in PPR leagues including the monster 8 reception, 213 yard, 1 score game last week against a tough Oakland secondary. San Diego takes on St. Louis which just got spanked by the Lions. We're looking for Floyd to have a solid day.

Put 'em In The Game: Steve Smith
We've listed to people complain about Smith not having the numbers that he did last year, but honestly, did anyone really expect him to repeat those same numbers? The guy is on pace for 90+ catches this year and 1,000+ yards. He's still a good fantasy option even with Hakeem Nicks in the limelight. Both Nicks and Smith make for great fantasy plays this week agains a Lions defense that's giving up close to 20 points to opposing WR's.

Put 'em In The Game: Percy Harvin
It's true that Randy Moss can help stretch the field and that's what the Vikes have been missing without a deep threat. That extra room gave Harvin an opportunity to shine against the Jets on Monday night. We're expecting more of the same if Favre's elbow can hold up. Harvin has great hands and seriously explosive speed. Combine that with the fact that the Cowboys are very middle-of-the-road against the pass and you've got a great match up.

Put 'em In The Game: Tony Gonzalez
Other than his game against New Orleans, the future Hall-of-Famer hasn't been much to write home about. That should change this week as the Eagles are fairly generous to opposing TE's. We anticipate Matt Ryan looking for Gonzalez quite a bit in this game.

Put 'em In The Game: Tony Moeaki
Many of you are probably asking yourselves, "Who is Tony Moeaki?" Moeaki is a rookie TE who has done a decent job in that offense so far this year. I'm taking Dwayne Bowe's nickname of "Mr. Consistency" away and giving it to Moeaki. He should be a nice play this week against the Texans who give up more fantasy points to opposing TE's than any other team in the NFL.

Put 'em On The Bench: Brett Favre
He threw for his 500th TD on Monday night to new teammate Randy Moss, but he looked to be in rough shape in the 4th quarter trying to sling the ball with that elbow. He's a fun guy to watch and an icon to this sport, but Favre looks to be on his way out. For the first time ever, there's a possibility of the guy actually sitting out a week which would bring that iron man record to a close. Even though Favre took part in some individual drills today, he's listed as a non-participant in the team's official report. He's considering sitting himself out and you should too.

Put 'em On The Bench: Matt Schaub
What happened to Matt Schaub this year? His fantasy goodness has faded. Other than Week 2 which reminded us of what he could do, he's been a disappointment. He's still the 16th best QB according to FleaFlicker and he'll still have solid games this year so don't put him away too far, but his match up this week against the Chiefs doesn't warrant a start. The Chiefs held Peyton Manning to a horrible fantasy day last week including no touchdowns. We've been surprised before, but Schaub is not Manning and the outcome right now doesn't look promising.

Put 'em On The Bench: Sam Bradford
Bradford's being listed here for two reasons: 1) it's our way of apologizing for recommending him as a Start last week, and 2) the Chargers D is much better than the Lions that he faced last week.

Put 'em On The Bench: Knowshon Moreno
We're still waiting to see whether or not Moreno will suit up this week. If his hamstring has healed enough to let him play, most owners are going to want to plug him into their lineups. We do as well, but not this week. The Jets are incredibly tough to run on and they've allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing RB's this year. It's a tough match up even if Moreno where 100% healthy. If you had plans to start Laurence Maroney this week, you might as well rethink that as well.

Put 'em On The Bench: Justin Forsett
Justin Forsett has been by all accounts, an average back. His 94 all-purpose yards in Week 3 has basically been the highlight of his year. Generally, a RB coming off a bye week has some upside with two week's worth of rest, particularly with a back that saw 17 and 19 carries respectively the two weeks prior. Unfortunately for Forsett owners, the arrival of Marshawn Lynch decreases the already-average contributions that he was making.

Put 'em On The Bench: DeSean Jackson
You didn't draft Jackson to sit him so we're not necessarily mandating a sit, but we are definitely recommending that you control your expectations here. DeSean Jackson is as versatile a play maker as they come and he has tremendous speed and talent. So why sit him? The problem isn't Jackson...it's Kolb. Here's the tale of the tape: in the 2 games that Michael Vick started and played the entirety (Week 2 and 3), Jackson saw the end zone both times and scored 31 and 34 fantasy points respectively (PPR-scoring). When Kevin Kolb is the starting QB, Jackson has seen fantasy PPR point totals of 6, 5.1, and 5.2. Do the math yourself, check your gut, and then decide.

Put 'em On The Bench: Deion Branch
Welcome back Deion Branch. For those of us who were initially excited to see Branch join the Pats after Moss was traded, the excitement wore off as soon as reality hit. With Wes Welker, Brandon Tate, and Aaron Hernandez as the top three passing options for Tom Brady, Branch has his work cut out for him to make significant contributions. This week he faces one of the toughest pass defenses in the Baltimore Ravens. It's tough to overcome all of these factors so leave Branch on your bench for now.

Put 'em On The Bench: Jason Witten
We hate to do it again, but Witten lands on the Sit list. We called it right the last time and we're just not feeling it this week. He's managed to work through his injuries and we thought his friendship with Romo would continue to translate into stellar fantasy numbers. Unfortunately, that the honeymoon is over and Miles Austin, Roy Williams, and, to a lesser extent, Dez Bryant continue to receive the targets. Consider the fact that the Vikes held red-hot Dustin Keller in check on Monday night and there's little reason to expect them not to repeat that this week against Witten.

Put 'em On The Bench: Tony Scheffler
Scheffler is currently the 13th highest-scoring TE this season, and minus Week 2's forgettable 1 catch for 5 yard performance, he's been an average fantasy TE. If Megatron plays this weekend, Scheffler's value goes down. The Giants just aren't very forgiving and are currently ranked 7th in the league in yards allowed to opposing TE's with a paltry 40 yards/game.
