Week 4 Waiver Wire Targets

If you lost Darren Sproles or just need to upgrade your roster, here are five guys to target on an ever-decreasing waiver wire.

Wendell Smallwood, RB - PHI

There's not much to like about the Philly running game so far this year, but with Darren Sproles out (and maybe done for his career), Doug Pederson has to do something. Blount is still the running back that we'd prefer to own there, but Smallwood did lead the team in snaps (43 of 76) and rushing attempts (12) for 71 yards. He deserves a spot somewhere on your roster.

Marqise Lee, WR - JAC

With Allen Robinson out for the year, those targets have gone to Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee. Both have put up decent numbers with Hurns finding the endzone and Lee leading the team in targets. Looking at early Week 4 rankings, Lee comes in ranked 31st (WR3 territory) and Hurns at #45. Both guys could be rostered.

Devin Funchess, WR - CAR

If Kelvin Benjamin is out this week (potentially several weeks), Funchess becomes an intriguing option...at least in the short term. The receiving corp is depleted in Carolina and Newton has failed to live up to expectations, but someone has to catch the ball, right? Funchess should be considered a WR3 for the near future.

Sterling Shepard, WR - NYG

He may be third on the WR depth chart behind Odell Beckham Jr and Brandon Marshall, but an argument can be made that Shepard has looked better than Marshall. He only saw one less target than Marshall last week but put up a solid statline (7 for 133 yards and a score).

Mohamed Sanu, WR - ATL

Sanu has proven to be a fantastic compliment to Julio Jones. On Sunday, he finally found the endzone this season. He has been pretty consistent averaging 5 receptions for 53 yards and has seen at least 6 targets each game this year. If you're looking for a bye-week filler, Sanu may be the WR that you're looking for.
