Just a quick note that the Nerd's Fantasy Football API is up and ready for 2009.
There are a couple of changes for those who use the API. The NerdID node has changed to playerId. You'll also see a new attribute within the draft rankings API for that player's bye week.
Finally, you'll find two different attributes on each Player node within the rankings API. The OverallRank is that player's ranking among all players and the PositionRank is that player's rank among that position. For example, a QB with a PositionRank of 5 would be the 5th highest ranked QB.
Please Note: It is strongly suggested that you cache the results from API calls to reduce the number of hits to the FFN.
Enjoy the API and let me know if you experience any difficulties.

I am looking to build a front end for my draft with Microsoft Silverlight and looking to use your data, primarily, as the backend. Do you have an API to expose the strength of schedule data? Also, are you able to publish, throught the API, the rankings? If not, would you mind sharing your data with me, or how you obtain it?

I'll add the strength of schedule to the "to-do" list. Would you rather have it as a single call (ie, pass it a playerId) or integrated directly into the rankings (a child node under each player's rank)?

Prefer integrated child node. Less round trips.

This enhancement is now available.
The API documentation for this particular call has been updated to reflect the change.
You simply need to send an additional variable of sos=1 to retrieve the strength of schedule.
For everyone else, your API calls do not need to be modified.

Sweet. Thanks!
Not broken down into Pass vs Rush defense rankings? Maybe next year ;)
