It's interesting that Stott gets $200,000 more than Brandon Marsh here, even though Marsh had the higher bWAR last year (3.1 to 2.5) and the higher career mark to date (8.3 to 8.0). Both were eligible for arbitration for the first time. Stott was pretty great in 2023, but he slipped to .245/.315/.356 in 571 plate appearances last season. Fortunately, as a well above average defensive second baseman, he doesn't need to be a 100 OPS+ guy to be a quality regular.
