NBC SportsMariners optioned RHP Emerson Hancock to Triple-A Tacoma.

Hancock has been shipped back to the minors following Monday's calamitous season debut against the Tigers when he was rocked for six runs and recorded only two outs. The 25-year-old's stay in Seattle's rotation was always going to be short-lived with George Kirby (shoulder) expected back in late April, but this qualifies as little more than a cup of coffee. NBC SportsDillon Dingler went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs in a win over the Mariners on Monday.

Dingler picked up three of the 18 hits the Tigers were able to put up against Emerson Hancock and the not-so-high leverage Seattle relievers. He's swung the bat extremely well to begin the season -- and he does have some prospect pedigree -- but fantasy managers still probably shouldn't consider him in shallow leagues.
