Dingler picked up three of the 18 hits the Tigers were able to put up against Emerson Hancock and the not-so-high leverage Seattle relievers. He's swung the bat extremely well to begin the season -- and he does have some prospect pedigree -- but fantasy managers still probably shouldn't consider him in shallow leagues.
Yamamoto allowed five hits and two walks to go with the punchouts. Both runs allowed came off solo homers; one from Dillon Dingler, the other from Gleyber Torres. Minus those round-trippers -- and even with them -- he was excellent, generating 17 swinging strikes from his 91 offerings. His next start isn't scheduled, but he'll likely face the Phillies next weekend.

On the plus side, the 33-year-old southpaw racked up four strikeouts on the evening and didn't walk a batter. The bulk of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Dillon Dingler swatting a solo homer in the second inning and Ryan Kriedler doing the same in the third. Heaney got eight whiffs on 56 pitches in the contest, half of them on his changeup, while posting a CSW of 30 percent. Heaney holds an uninspiring 11.25 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and a 5/5 K/BB ratio over eight innings in Grapefruit League action.
