The Reds' decision to trade for Lux looked like a pretty good one, but we're far more skeptical about this plan to turn him into a utilityman instead of just leaving him alone at second base. The 27-year-old is coming off a strong second half as part of a 2024 season in which he hit .251/.320/.383 overall. He has some additional offensive potential while hitting in GABP, but the Reds seem more concerned with his defensive potential, for some reason.
