
Grichuk should find his way into the lineup on most days against left-handed pitching, either as the designated hitter or in the outfield. Jake McCarthy remains in the lineup despite the left-hander on the mound as he'll start in center field and bat eighth for the Diamondbacks.
Grichuk ended up missing a couple of days after leaving Monday's contest with left ankle soreness.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters that Grichuk will be re-evaluated over the next few days, but didn't seem overly concerned. The 33-year-old veteran will open the year in a lefty-mashing platoon role for Arizona. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
