NBC SportsWilly Adames went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Adames' home run was his 29th of the year. He hit a three-run shot off Andre Pallante in the first inning. He's been a catalyst for the Brewers and an absolute steal for fantasy managers this season. Adames is 30-for-102 (.294) with 12 home runs and 28 RBI in his last 27 games. He's hitting .255 with an .812 OPS and 99 RBI on the year.

NBC SportsAndre Pallante allowed eight hits and two runs with three strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Wednesday against the Padres.

This was a battle for Pallante. The Padres had at least one hit in every inning and there was constant traffic on the bases. It was a marvel he only allowed two runs after all the hard-contact, base runners, and inordinate number of fly balls as Pallante is usually a ground ball whiz. Alas, he was just one out short of a quality start and kept his ratios relatively in check. He has a two-start week coming up in Milwaukee and then home against the Mariners.

NBC SportsAndre Pallante limited the Twins to one run over seven innings to earn a victory Friday.

Pallante is yet again supposed to be bumped from the rotation with Lance Lynn due back next weekend, but he's made an excellent case to stick around in allowing five earned runs over 19 2/3 innings in his last three outings. What seems particularly obvious is that the Cardinals had more need for Tommy Edman than they did Erick Fedde going forward.
