Martin had a nice day despite giving up 11 hard-hit balls and had just three missed swings on his 91 pitches, but it worked out against a mediocre Angels lineup. He's set to take in the Tigers next weekend.

Martin wrapped up an extremely strong spring with a 1.00 ERA, 0.44 WHIP and eight strikeouts over nine innings (three starts). The 28-year-old righty showed some encouraging signs late last year after adding a kick-changeup to his repertoire. He'll open the regular season in the back-end of Chicago's starting rotation. He projects as a matchup-dependent streaming option for fantasy purposes in deeper mixed leagues.
