Reese Olson

Olson was handed a two-run cushion in the first inning, but immediately gave it up on a two-run shot in the first. He was solid over the next three innings, but a two-run double by Teoscar Hernandez turned a decent outing into a mediocre one. The Dodgers are hard to pitch to. Olson should have more success next week against the White Sox.

Olson did solid work against Philadelphia's regular lineup, though he did surrender a two-run homer to Bryson Stott in the fifth. His velocity remains a little up from last year, though not quite to the same degree it was at the beginning of the spring. Regardless, he remains a good bet for mixed-league value as the Tigers' No. 3 starter. He'll face the Dodgers on Saturday.
