Nola came into this one with just four total earned runs allowed over his last four starts. He matched that against the Marlins. Connor Norby took him deep for a two-run shot in the first inning. Jonah Bride added a run with a base hit in the third. Norway brought another run in to score with a base hit in the fourth. And Bride would took Nola deep for a solo homer to lead off the fifth. The 31-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.41 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 167/45 K/BB ratio across 177 innings. He'll take on the Mets in Philadelphia on Friday.

Lopez led of the second inning with a double, then singled to start the fourth before scoring on a base hit by Connor Norby. Lopez later extended the Miami lead with a solo homer off Taijuan Walker. The 25-year-old infielder is slashing .253/.294/.349 with four homers, 36 runs scored, 29 RBI, and 16 steals across 357 plate appearances.

Norby got the scoring started for the Marlins with a two-run blast off Aaron Nola in the first inning. He drove in a third run with a base hit in the fourth. The 24-year-old third baseman is hitting .277/.311/.535 with six homers, 19 runs scored, 12 RBI, and two steals across 106 plate appearances.

Devers suffered an apparent left hand injury on an eight-inning collision at first base when he tried to corral an errant throw from third baseman Connor Norby. The 24-year-old infielder went 1-for-4 in a pair of contests for the Marlins after being brought up earlier this week from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Norby has been one of the few bright spots for the Marlins in the closing stages of the year, batting an impressive .327 (17-for-52) with three homers, six RBI and two steals in 13 games since coming over to Miami at the trade deadline. He should be rostered in deeper mixed leagues at this juncture, but is probably worthy of a roster spot in shallow mixed leagues as well.
