Joyce maxed out at an absurd 103.6 mph, while averaging 102.1 mph on his four-seam fastball, and registered an eye-popping six swinging strikes on just 21 pitches. The 24-year-old flamethrower will operate in a setup role behind veteran stopper Kenley Jansen this season for Los Angeles, but is more than capable of handling the ninth inning, should the opportunity arise.
