Eric Samulski discusses the players he's been targeting the most in his fantasy leagues
Williams allowed five hits, walked none and struck out five. His spring ends with a 2-0 record and a 2.08 ERA. While most teams prefer to give their starters five days' rest after their final spring starts, the Guardians will have Williams pitch Saturday against the Royals.
Williams' velocity peaked in his spring debut Feb. 26, and he's currently a little down from last year. There's still a fair amount to like here, and his new sweepier slider should be a bigger asset against right-handed hitters. However, there was more reason for excitement three weeks ago.
The Rotoworld staff unveil the players they have drafted the most this spring.
As a team, the White Sox were only able to muster four total hits in the contest, with Drury, Andrew Vaughn, Bryan Ramos and Jacob Amaya collecting one apiece. Drury, 32, has had a nice job as he vies for a spot on the team's Opening Day roster, hitting .346 (9-for-26) with a homer and five RBI. We have seen him be a viable fantasy contributor in the past and the opportunity for playing time is there if he continues to hit, making him an interesting flier in the final rounds of deeper mixed league drafts.
