
Myers started the game with a pair of doubles and a run scored before going to extra-inning against the Pirates. Stowers hasn't helped his cause by going just 4-for-24 this spring, though he has walked nine times. He's still more interesting going forward than Conine or Jonah Bride or Derek Hill or Dane Myers or Matt Mervis.

The 27-year-old slugging corner outfielder put together the strongest year of his career last season when he posted 18 homers and 16 steals in 149 contests. Barring any setbacks, which isn't a given with oblique issues, he should return by mid-to-late April.
