NBC SportsDane Myers went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored, and the game-winning RBI to lead the Marlins to a 5-4 win over the Pirates in extra-innings on Saturday.

Myers started the game with a pair of doubles and a run scored before going to extra-inning against the Pirates. He started the tenth as the runner on second and scored the tying run to extend the game. The 29-year-old outfielder delivered in the 12th, knocking a deep hit to right field to walk it off.

NBC SportsKyle Stowers finished 0-for-4 with a walk on Saturday, dropping his spring average to .167.

If Stowers and Griffin Conine were competing for one roster spot a couple of days ago -- it's not entirely clear that was the case, but let's go with it -- the pressure is off now in light of Jesus Sanchez's oblique injury. Stowers hasn't helped his cause by going just 4-for-24 this spring, though he has walked nine times. He's still more interesting going forward than Conine or Jonah Bride or Derek Hill or Dane Myers or Matt Mervis.

NBC SportsJesus Sanchez has been diagnosed with a left oblique strain and will miss four weeks.

Not great. Sanchez suffered the oblique injury during Thursday's spring contest against the Braves and will require a trip to the injured list at the outset of the regular season. His absence likely leads to a starting role for Dane Myers in right field for a couple weeks. The 27-year-old slugging corner outfielder put together the strongest year of his career last season when he posted 18 homers and 16 steals in 149 contests. Barring any setbacks, which isn't a given with oblique issues, he should return by mid-to-late April.
