Atlanta had attempted to sign Jeff Hoffman to compete for a spot in their rotation, but they flagged something in his physical and he eventually signed with the Blue Jays instead. Now Atlanta seems likely to have Anderson and Holmes come into spring training as the favorites for the final two spots in the rotation. Both players are out of minor league options, so they can't be sent down without being passed through waivers, which will likely incentivize the Braves to keep both of them in the rotation until Spencer Strider is ready to make his return. Of the two, Holmes seems like the better late-round gamble in 2025 fantasy baseball drafts.
