Sheppard was the darling of Summer League but hs struggled to get minutes on a deep Rockets team.

Sheppard has enjoyed some great moments as a rookie, but he's largely been out of Houston's rotation even while Fred VanVleet (ankle) continues to miss time. His extended absence won't be majorly impactful in the world of fantasy hoops.

Houston rookie Reed Sheppard will miss at least four weeks after fracturing his right thumb.

Head coach Ime Udoka told reporters Saturday that Sheppard fractured his right thumb and will be out for at least four weeks, Ben DuBose of USA Today reports.

Houston forward Amen Thompson exited Saturday's win with an undisclosed injury while Reed Sheppard while be sidelined for at least 4 weeks with a thumb fracture.
