Reed Sheppard

Thompson hasn't missed a game yet this season, but if he were to be forced to sit out on Sunday, there would plenty of bench minutes to go to Tari Eason, Reed Sheppard and Aaron Holiday. Sheppard has struggled to start his rookie year, but this could be a good opportunity for him to take advantage of some extra playing time.

With Fred VanVleet sidelined, Thompson will slide into the starting lineup at point guard. Ime Udoka said that Amen will likely start when any of their starters miss a game, which boosts his value even more this season. Reed Sheppard should be the team's backup point guard with Thompson starting.

VanVleet will miss his first game of the season, though the severity of his injury is unclear.
