Richardson is officially out after the Heat listed him as doubtful on the initial injury report. His absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, especially with Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic available to play.
Due to his ankle injury, Jovic has missed nine of Miami's last ten games. He's been cleared to play on Friday, as has Larsson. The second-round pick out of Arizona is back after a four-game absence. Due to Miami's depth at the small and power forward positions, both players may be in the rotation, but there won't be enough playing time to impact fantasy basketball.
Larsson has missed three games with a sprained ankle. Terry Rozier, Dru Smith and Jaime Jaquez Jr. have handled the perimeter bench minutes themselves. If Larsson were to miss Friday's game, Smith would make sense as a streaming option on a short slate.
Jovic is returned from an eight-game hiatus only to tweak his ankle in practice after his first game back. Larsson is set to miss a fourth consecutive game. Jaime Jaquez Jr. has the most to gain from both layers missing Monday's contest.
Jovic hasn't been part of the rotation even when healthy recently, but he was able to log 24 minutes off the bench in this game and make a big impact. He fell one point shy of tying his season-high for points, which was encouraging to see after a mostly disappointing season. Jovic and Dru Smith (11/3/3/1) led the bench unit in this game with Pelle Larsson still sidelined and Terry Rozier still struggling. Jovic isn't worth adding off the waiver wire just because he played well in this game, but he's worth keeping an eye on.
