Dante Exum fractured his hand to become the latest Mavericks player injured.
Exum sustained the injury in the first half of Friday's game against the Rockets. The Mavericks confirmed Saturday that the 29-year-old shooting guard suffered a left hand fracture and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Spencer Dinwiddie and Brandon Williams figure to get more playing time in Exum's absence.
Inconsistent since the All-Star break, Dinwiddie has been more productive over the Mavericks' last three games. He scored 20 or more in two outings, including Friday's loss to the Rockets. Dinwiddie has never been a great player to have rostered in category leagues, but he's worth the risk currently out of necessity. The Mavericks were already down multiple contributors, and they lost Dante Exum to a broken hand during the first half of Friday's game. Dinwiddie is worth adding for Sunday's game against the 76ers, but the Mavericks only play two games during Week 20.
