This will be a fifth-straight absence for Maxey, and as Philadelphia fights for better lottery odds, it wouldn't be surprising if Maxey was sidelined for longer. Quentin Grimes should continue to shine, and both Jared Butler and Lonnie Walker IV are candidates to remain in the starting unit, though the status of Kelly Oubre Jr. will be a factor there as well.
Oubre Jr. sat out the second night of Philadelphia's back-to-back when they took on Atlanta on Monday. Lonnie Walker IV entered the starting unit in his place and contributed 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. He should draw another start if Oubre Jr. remains out, and Justin Edwards should be in line for extra minutes and usage.
With Kelly Oubre Jr. (ankle) and Andre Drummond (illness) both sidelined, Walker IV was able to start for the first time this season. He was able to contribute decent value, but a poor shooting night limited his overall impact in an increased role. It was also a bit of a letdown after he had 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Philadelphia's previous game. If they continue to deal with injuries in Toronto on Wednesday, Walker IV may continue to hold some value as a streaming option, though he will hopefully shoot the ball better in that one.
Walker and Butler will both move into the starting lineup in place of Kelly Oubre Jr. (ankle) and Andre Drummond (illness). This will be Butler's second start of the season, while Walker will make his first start of the year after contributing 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Sunday's win.
Oubre Jr. will sit out the second leg of Philly's back-to-back set while the team rolls full speed ahead through an end-of-season tank. His absence means more work for Justin Edwards, Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker IV.
