The Mavericks are without PJ Washington and Anthony Davis, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. While Marshall has been worth rostering in standard leagues whether he starts or comes off the bench, that has not been the case for Edwards. Also, with this being the 50th game Edwards has been active for this season, this may be his last appearance in a Mavericks uniform unless he's given a standard contract.
Davis is back and will appear in a game for the first time since injuring his groin during his Mavericks debut in early February. With AD's desire to play alongside a center, Jones will remain in the starting lineup while Naji Marshall moves to the bench. While his value takes a slight hit, Naji is worth holding onto, especially with the Mavericks facing the Knicks on Tuesday, as Davis is unlikely to play.
Thompson will be back after missing Wednesday's game against Indiana. Both Kai Jones and Spencer Dinwiddie started with Thompson and Brandon Williams (hamstring) sidelined. Williams is probable, so both he and Thompson should return to the starting unit. Dinwiddie will return to a reserve role, and Jones should join him, though it is more likely that Jones continues to start than Dinwiddie.
Thompson (illness) is off the injury report for Friday's game against the Pistons.
Dinwiddie moved into the starting lineup with Klay Thompson and Brandon Williams out and ended up playing a game-high 42 minutes Wednesday. The 31-year-old point guard has had better shooting games than scoring 17 points on 16 shots, but he also dished out 12 assists to earn a double-double. He also had three steals on the defensive end. Dinwiddie certainly showed that he's a valuable fantasy asset when inserted into the starting lineup.
