Toppin saw extended minutes Friday with Myles Turner both ineffective and in foul trouble. He made the most of his opportunity. Toppin had 20 points on 11 shots, pulled down eight rebounds, made two 3-pointers and had three steals. In his last five games, Toppin has had at least 15 points and at least seven rebounds three times. While he isn't a must-add for fantasy managers yet, there are some signs that he could be fantasy-viable for the rest of the season.
On a night when starters Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner combined to score 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting, Walker turned in one of his best performances of the season. The 15 points were two shy of his career-high, established on November 6. Walker shouldn't be added currently, especially with the Pacers off until Friday. But his progress is worth tracking, especially in deep leagues.
Nembhard is good to go for Friday's game, meaning Quenton Jackson heads to the bench. Nembhard joins Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner in the Pacers' starting lineup.
Turner has blocked at least one shot in every game he's played this season except for one, an October 28 loss to Orlando. However, he remains just a top-75 player in 9-cat formats due to decreases in scoring and field goal percentage. While the scoring average is only 1.5 points per game lower than his 2023-24 mark, Turner is shooting five percentage points worse from the field. If he can clean up those areas, a top-50 season is well within reach.
The Pacers are without Andrew Nembhard, who's sitting for injury management reasons. Jackson will return to the starting lineup and is worth a look in extremely deep leagues, but nothing more. The other four starters are unchanged.
