Beal is back after missing two games with swelling in his right knee. His return pushes Royce O'Neale to the bench, where he provides minimal fantasy value. Phoenix's other four starters are unchanged. The Suns are 7-2 in games started by this quintet this season.
Jones didn't do as much setup work as he tends to, accounting for just four assists. But he was impactful as a scorer, missing just one of his nine shots on the night. Expected to produce late-round value before the season began, Jones enters Week 8 as a 6th-round player in 9-cat formats. The Suns are off until Thursday, which could be enough time for Bradley Beal (knee) to return. If so, Jones's assist opportunities to be what they usually are.
Jones was highly efficient as he scored 19 points on just nine shot attempts. Going 5-of-7 from behind the 3-point line certainly helped. He's not the priority to get shots on a team with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, but he makes it work with the attempts he typically gets. Jones also dished out 11 assists on his way to a double-double and had no turnovers. He's not going to have big volume games, but he doesn't hurt fantasy managers in any categories.
Durant and Nurkic will be back, but with Bradley Beal (knee) sidelined, O'Neale will remain in the starting unit. Mason Plumlee will return to the bench, and Grayson Allen should also take on extra minutes off the bench.
The Suns have made two changes to the quintet that started Tuesday's win over the Spurs, one of which was prompted by an injury. O'Neale will replace Kevin Durant, while Plumlee will replace rookie Oso Ighodaro. O'Neale has deep-league streaming value, while Plumlee may be in a timeshare with Ighodaro.
