Beal and O'Neale have been downgraded from questionable to out, joining Kevin Durant on the sidelines. Their absences free up playing time for Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones and Bol Bol. Whoever receives the starting nod for Durant will be worth streaming, especially if it's Allen who moved into the lineup.
Gillespie was Suns coach Mike Budenholzer's choice to replace the injured Bradley Beal (hamstring) in the starting lineup on Monday. Unfortunately, he failed to provide much value in his 16 minutes on the court. Tyus Jones was solid off the bench, finishing with 15 points, three rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers in 27 minutes. While he hasn't been as productive as many fantasy managers hoped during the preseason, Jones (61 percent rostered) is the only Suns guard worth adding with Beal sidelined.
The Suns have decided to go with Gillespie to fill the void left by Bradley Beal, who will miss at least one week with a hamstring injury. While the move into the starting lineup gives Gillespie an opportunity to achieve fantasy relevance, Tyus Jones is the safer streaming play despite remaining on the bench.
This timeline has Beal set to be re-evaluated on March 24, which means that he will miss all three of the Suns' games this week and will likely miss their game against the Bucks on the re-evaluation date. Tyus Jones will likely replace Beal in the starting lineup, which gives him a boost in value for the rest of the week.
Unsurprisingly, Beal is out after experiencing tightness in his left hamstring during Sunday's loss to the Lakers. While Collin Gillespie started the third quarter in Beal's absence, he has not done enough to merit being streamed. Tyus Jones will also have added importance and should be ahead of Gillespie in the pecking order. As for Allen, Monday's game will be the fourth he has missed with a strained foot. Royce O'Neale and Ryan Dunn will continue to play additional minutes.
