Jones has dished out at least eight assists in three straight, reaching double figures twice. Wednesday's total was one shy of his season-high, and he continues to provide 8th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats. Jones is rostered in 80% of Yahoo leagues, but that number won't increase this week as the Suns don't play again until Tuesday.
The Suns have made two changes to the lineup that started Monday's loss to the Magic. Nurkic's return from a sprained ankle means Mason Plumlee will come off the bench while O'Neale replaces Oso Ighodaro for matchup reasons. Jones, Booker, and Dunn complete the starting five.
The Suns are without Jusuf Nurkic, who will not play due to a sprained left ankle. Ighodaro, who will make his first start as a professional, will fill the void. This a good opportunity for the rookie to provide deep-league value due to his ability to serve as a playmaker out of the short roll. The other four starters are unchanged from Sunday's loss to Minnesota.
Jones got off to a solid start on Monday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting in the first half. Unfortunately for the Suns and fantasy managers, his production tailed off in the second half, with the point guard scoring six points on 2-of-5 shooting. Jones remains a solid point guard to have rostered, as he's providing top-100 per-game value, but he possesses a limited fantasy ceiling.
Plumlee will replace Josh Okogie and give Phoenix a pair of twin towers in the frontcourt. It's unclear how this group will work together, but Nurkic will need to be a real threat to stretch the floor to avoid the spacing from being poor, as Plumlee is far from a threat anywhere outside of the painted area.
