McBride is set to miss his third straight game on Wednesday. Cameron Payne will likely continue to fill in as the starting point guard with Jalen Brunson out.
McBride will miss a second consecutive game with a left groin strain/contusion. Cameron Payne will remain the starting point guard, which makes him worthy of a look in deep leagues. Also, Tyler Kolek will play rotation minutes, and he tallied eight assists without committing a turnover during Saturday's win over the Wizards.
McBride has been downgraded from questionable to out for Saturday's game, leaving the Knicks without their top two point guards. Cameron Payne will move into the starting lineup, raising his fantasy ceiling, but the veteran guard has been erratic most nights. Tyler Kolek should move into the rotation, but it's difficult to trust Tom Thibodeau to give the rookie the playing time needed to impact fantasy basketball.
Payne will start Saturday against the Wizards, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
McBride was questionable ahead of Thursday's game, but he was able to play through the groin contusion in that game. However, if he is held out against Washington, Cameron Payne will likely move into the starting unit, which would open up extra minutes for rookie Tyler Kolek.
