The Suns have made two changes to the lineup that started Monday's loss to the Magic. Nurkic's return from a sprained ankle means Mason Plumlee will come off the bench while O'Neale replaces Oso Ighodaro for matchup reasons. Jones, Booker, and Dunn complete the starting five.
The Suns are without Jusuf Nurkic, who will not play due to a sprained left ankle. Ighodaro, who will make his first start as a professional, will fill the void. This a good opportunity for the rookie to provide deep-league value due to his ability to serve as a playmaker out of the short roll. The other four starters are unchanged from Sunday's loss to Minnesota.
One day removed from dropping 44 points on the Timberwolves, Booker was held in check by a stingy Magic defense on Monday night. That said, this performance has been the norm for Booker during Phoenix's 1-5 skid, as he scored 18 points or fewer in three of those games. Injuries to Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant haven't helped, with their absences leaving Booker to shoulder even more of the scoring load. He'll look to rebound when the Suns host the Knicks on Wednesday.
Phoenix led almost all game thanks to 44 points from Devin Booker, but not when the final buzzer sounded.
Booker logged 44 points (15-29 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 8-9 FT), seven assists, six rebounds and one block across 40 minutes during Sunday's 120-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
