Lyles has missed Sacramento's last ten games, most recently experiencing some soreness in his calf on the morning of Thursday's loss to the Lakers. If he remains sidelined, the Kings will continue to ask Domantas Sabonis to play heavy minutes in the middle, going small when their star center needs a break.
While the Kings remain below .500 record-wise, Monk has been huge for fantasy managers. Over the past three weeks, he has provided 3rd-round value in 8- and 9-cat formats. The move into the starting lineup gives him a better chance of sustaining that value, even with ball-dominant options De'Aaron Fox, DeMar DeRozan, and Domantas Sabonis on the floor.
Absent from the initial injury report, Lyles will miss a tenth straight game on Thursday. Look for the Kings to stick with a relatively limited bench, with starting center Domantas Sabonis likely logging 40 minutes or more, as he did on Monday (41 MIN vs. Denver).
While Huerter missed Monday's loss to the Nuggets, Sabonis did not participate in Wednesday's practice. Both are considered good to go for Thursday night, but the latter's availability is far more critical to fantasy managers. Huerter's status fortifies the Kings' bench but remains a deep-league option at best.
Sabons (back) is available for Thursday's game versus the Lakers, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
