Ware had one of the best games of his rookie season on Sunday, matching his high with 25 points. The first-round pick played well enough during the first half to be moved into the starting lineup for the second, replacing Haywood Highsmith (two points, three rebounds in eight minutes). The most significant concern regarding a Ware/Bam Adebayo (6/11/5/1/1 in 25 minutes) has been offensive spacing, but the two worked well together on Sunday. Fantasy managers should watch for more of this, as it would raise Ware's fantasy ceiling considerably. Miami plays three games during Week 13, starting with Portland on Tuesday.
Butler will be in the starting lineup in his first game back from a seven-game suspension. Even with his stated desire to be traded, he's in a position where he can provide high value. Whether Butler looks at this as an opportunity to boost his value to other teams or a chance to show his continued displeasure will be one of the major storylines on Friday. His return also means Robinson will start due to the need for spacing, with Terry Rozier and Jaime Jaquez Jr. heading to the bench. Managers who have Jaquez or Nikola Jovic rostered should hold onto them until the Butler situation is resolved.
Adebayo recorded his 21st double-double of the season in Friday's defeat, but the lack of defensive stats disappointed those who have him rostered. Over the past two weeks, percentages have been more of an issue for Bam regarding fantasy value. A 7th-round player during this period, he's shooting 42.5% from the field and 69.6% from the foul line. If Jimmy Butler were returning from an injury, assuming Adebayo could benefit offensively would be safer. However, the Heat star is returning from suspension and wants out of Miami, making it challenging to assume Bam's numbers will increase.
Ware had the best game of his young career in their last game with Bam Adebayo (back) sidelined. With Adebayo back in the lineup for this one, Ware was still able to be productive off the bench. The rookie hasn't been a standard league option and likely won't be as long as Bam is available. However, he played well while playing just 18 minutes, which is a workload that he could certainly have for the rest of the season. He can be considered in deeper leagues, and these performances should be encouraging for dynasty managers.
Adebayo took a hard fall on his back in Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers and missed Monday's game against the Clippers. His return will push Kevin Love back to the bench and cut into Kel'el Ware's minutes, taking Ware off the streaming radar Wednesday.
