White had been in a bit of a shooting slump, but now has 23 and 15 points in his last two games. He impacts the game in a variety of of ways as he also chipped in with five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in this one. The 30-year-old point guard is having a career-year in many ways and is a top-20 player in fantasy this season.
It has been a rough shooting stretch for White recently, but he was able to get back on track in this one. This was his third game this year with seven 3-pointers, and he was able to contribute value across the board. White is averaging career-highs in points, rebounds and 3-pointers, which has allowed him to be a top-20 player in 9-cat leagues to this point. Expect that to continue moving forward, especially in games like this, where they were playing without one of their top scoring options in Jayson Tatum.
With Jayson Tatum sidelined for this game, Horford will move back into the starting unit and form a tall frontcourt duo next to Kristaps Porzingis. Of course, Payton Pritchard will continue to play a significant role off the bench.
White was considered probable on the initial injury report, so the status upgrade was expected. He'll take on his usual responsibilities as one-half of Boston's starting backcourt.
White (foot) is available for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
