Memphis will bump Edey back into the starting unit, which is great news for his fantasy upside. He may see limited minutes against the Warriors, since they tend to use smaller lineups. Brandon Clarke will come off the bench, but he should still see a significant role.
Jackson extended his streak of 20-point games to four on Sunday, finishing the defeat one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. The Grizzlies power forward/center has been excellent this season, providing top 20 per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats. Jackson will look to continue this superb run on Thursday when Memphis hosts Golden State to begin a two-game Week 8.
Jackson has scored 20 points or more in three straight and five of his last six games, and he's been excellent over the past month. Averaging 21.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 2.3 blocks, and 1.8 3-pointers per game, JJJ has provided top-10 per-game value in 9-cat formats. Basketball Monster has Jackson ranked 12th in 9-cat value for the season, exceeding his Yahoo ADP (38) by a comfortable distance.
Morant and Bane are the changes to the Grizzlies lineup, as they sat out Sunday's win over the Wizards. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Marcus Smart return to the bench, taking hits to their respective fantasy values. Wells, Clarke, and Jackson round out the starting quintet.
While the "doubtful" tag gave some a sliver of hope that Edey would return on Friday, the 7-foot-4 center will not play. Jay Huff has played additional minutes off the bench in Edey's absence, but this has not significantly impacted fantasy basketball. While Brandon Clarke was a starter even before Edey's injury, Santi Aldama is Memphis' second-most valuable big in fantasy basketball, trailing only Jaren Jackson Jr.
