The Warriors put forth a concerted effort to get the ball out of Brunson's hands at every opportunity. He still had a productive night, but the Knicks' lack of a credible secondary playmaker proved to be their undoing. Brunson has been a top 20 player in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, averaging 26.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.4 three-pointers per game. The lone negative for Brunson managers is the schedule, as the Knicks play two more games during Week 18 (none after Friday) and three during Week 19.
The Knicks are without Karl-Anthony Towns, who will miss Tuesday's game for personal reasons. But it won't be Precious Achiuwa who fills the void. Robinson, making his first home appearance of the season, will start at the five. His minutes will likely be restricted, so there should be room for Achiuwa in the rotation.
The matchup between Jimmy Butler and Jalen Brunson will be one to watch in tonight's Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks game.
Jalen Brunson has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week after carrying the Knicks to three consecutive victories.
Brunson chipped in 23 points (10-23 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block over 36 minutes during Friday's 114-113 victory over the Grizzlies.
