After a solid first half, Smith ended up starting the third quarter in place of Duncan Robinson. This was likely just a one-time change to give the team a much-needed jolt, and it helped them start the second half on a 7-0 run. However, it didn't help them get a win. Smith was one of the bright spots, but he still didn't have a great night in fantasy hoops. This was also his first time in the rotation in a couple weeks, though he played well in that game too. Even if he earned minutes with his performance in this game, he isn't a player to add off the waiver wire.
With Jimmy Butler sidelined with a knee injury, Jaquez will get his first start of the season. He hasn't been impactful in fantasy hoops this season, but this is a great opportunity for him to have a solid night.
Rozier struggled in Wednesday's game against the Hornets, but will continue to play through his foot issue. He scored 17 points off the bench against the Bucks in his return Tuesday. Duncan Robinson is also available to play Friday, though he could find himself on the bench soon enough with Rozier back.
Robinson is available after the Heat listed his probable on the initial injury report. While capable of providing points and 3-pointers, he hasn't done enough to merit being rostered in most fantasy leagues.
Robinson is considered probable for Friday's game, so fantasy managers should expect to see him on the court. Ranked outside the top 150 in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks, Robinson's season-long value is outside the top 200. Other than a dire need for 3-pointers, there isn't much need to roster him.
