Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said after Sunday's 113-102 loss to the Trail Blazers that White was held out for the final 4:12 of the contest due to a sore ankle, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The Bulls play again Monday against the Clippers, so it's no surprise that Ball is out for the first leg of the back-to-back set. Jevon Carter (illness) is also out, but he's only logged a handful of minutes per game this season. Chicago's backcourt will rely on Josh Giddey and Ayo Dosunmu alongside Coby White and Zach LaVine.
No surprise here as White was listed as probable with a neck injury. With Zach LaVine (illness) now questionable, White could be in line for more usage. After playing 34 minutes against the Hawks Tuesday, the 24-year-old point guard should be fine Friday.
White (neck) is available for Friday's game against the Hornets, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
White should be good to once again, even if he is still managing this neck issue. Josh Giddey (hip) is questionable, so White could take on more responsibility as a playmaker if Giddey isn't able to suit up.
