Poole committed five fouls, but still managed to play 36 minutes in the contest. His shooting wasn't very efficient as he had 21 points on 19 shots and he dished out seven assists, but also turned the ball over three times. After an excellent start to the season, Poole's production has tapered off a bit and this was just another unspectacular game for the 25-year-old shooting guard.
The Wizards' lone change to the starting lineup is significant: Sarr is back after a two-game absence. With Cleveland without Evan Mobley, Jonas Valanciunas returns to the bench after starting Washington's last two games. Managers who have JV rostered should know the drill by now; hold onto him, as he can still provide reliable fantasy value in a bench role.
Steph Curry also made the list, but probably not for the reason you think
At long last, the Wizards' losing streak has ended. Poole put on a show on Saturday, with the 39 points being the most he's scored in a game since dropping a season-high 42 on November 13. Poole's production had tailed off recently after an excellent start to the season, but Saturday's performance certainly gets things headed in the right direction. Washington will host Memphis on Sunday.
Injuries have forced multiple changes to the Wizards' starting lineup. Carrington and Coulibaly will start because Malcolm Brogdon and Alex Sarr have been sidelined. The third change is Valanciunas, who replaces Marvin Bagley III to match up with Nikola Jokic.
