Anthony had no assists filling in for Jalen Suggs (back) Friday, but led the Magic in points against the Celtics. The 24-year-old point guard had 23 points on 15 shots including 2-of-5 from behind the 3-point line. Anthony also managed to pull down seven rebounds. He only had two turnovers, but was -19 in 31 minutes in the 27-point loss to Boston. Anthony will continue to provide fantasy value as long as Suggs and Franz Wagner (oblique) are still out.
Anthony had a solid night as a playmaker, dishing out nine assists while committing three turnovers. However, he didn't shoot the ball well and ultimately fouled out of a game decided by the end of the third quarter. Fantasy managers should take solace in Anthony's assist tally, which is a positive development with Jalen Suggs (back) out of the lineup. Wednesday's game was the second in which Anthony accounted for at least nine assists since Suggs was injured on January 3 in Toronto.
WCJ will get the starting nod in place of Goga Bitadze, who is sidelined for this game with a concussion. KCP will return to the starting unit after a one-game absence, which will push Caleb Houstan back to the bench.
