Win or lose, Cunningham continues to put together strong performances. He recorded his fourth straight double-double in this game and has scored at least 20 points in all but three games this season. The Moves that Detroit made this summer have allowed Cade to produce at an elite level, and he is averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and 3-pointers. Efficiency has still been an issue, but it wasn't terrible in this game. They have two days off before they head to Charlotte, where Cunningham recorded a triple-double earlier this month.
Tim Hardaway Jr. returned to the lineup after missing their last three games, which pushed Beasley back to the bench. However, that didn't put an end to his hot shooting run. Beasley has now scored at least 20 points in five straight games and in six of their last seven. He has hit at least four 3-pointer in six straight games. He was brought in this summer to help increase the spacing around Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey, and he has done his job tremendously. Whether he's starting or coming off the bench, Beasley should be a reliable source of triples moving forward.
It was Cunningham's fourth triple-double of the season. Only Nikola Jokic and LeBron James have more this year. Cunningham even cut his turnovers, which had been a problem, against Wizards as he turned the ball over just twice in 31 minutes. Cade was +18 in the 20-point win. Detroit has three games coming up in Week 5.
Cunningham finished Sunday's 124-104 win over the Wizards with 21 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 assists, 10 rebounds, five steals and one block over 31 minutes.
Despite initial reports that Isaiah Stewart would enter the starting lineup for Jalen Duren, the Pistons quickly corrected their starting lineup. Stewart will come off the bench and only have real fantasy value if Duren gets in some early foul trouble.
