Cam Johnson scored 34 points, Dennis Schroder had 14 points and 12 assists and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Charlotte Hornets 116-115 Tuesday night.
Schroder has struggled with his shot recently, making 38.5% of his attempts over the last two weeks. He didn't have a great night shooting the basketball on Tuesday, but fantasy managers received solid production in the assist category. The 12 assists were two shy of Schroder's season-high, and this was his second double-digit assist game.
Wilson is the lone change to the lineup, as he'll step in for the injured Cam Thomas. Wilson, Schroder, and Johnson will all have opportunities to score, as Brooklyn will be without its top scorer. Also, look for Ziaire Williams to take on a more prominent role among the Nets reserves.
With Finney-Smith back after a two-game absence and Nic Claxton (back) out for at least one week, the Nets have made two changes to their starting lineup. Simmons will fill the void left by Claxton, while Finney-Smith's return bumps Ziaire Williams to the bench.
This was a second straight quieter performance from Schroder, though he didn't play poorly. He made 60% of his shots and only turned it over once, but he just didn't contribute much in the box score. Schroder still ranks in the top-50 in 9-cat leagues, but his numbers are starting to regress back to what we have expected from him in recent years. Schroder should still be a solid option for the rest of the season, but he is cooling off after a scorching hot start.
