There's plenty of opportunities available with the Pistons for Schroder to have fantasy value as the backup point guard.

Schroder and Fontecchio were initially probable for Friday's game, so the status upgrades were expected. Schroder's return after a one-game absence will likely bump Marcus Sasser out of the rotation. Fontecchio's return after missing two games will not have as much impact, but it may mean fewer minutes for Ron Holland II.

Schroder is set to return from a one-game layoff while Fontecchio missed the Pistons' previous two games after suffering a finger injury. Both players should assume their usual backup roles.

Schroder has been downgraded from questionable to out, freeing up rotation minutes within the Pistons' second unit. Marcus Sasser may pick up additional minutes, but he's unlikely to impact fantasy basketball as Cade Cunningham's backup.
