Since returning from an extended absence with a shoulder injury, Jones has been much more involved on offense. He scored at least 20 points just three times last season, but he has reached that mark twice in the six games since returning. He has had to shoulder more of the offensive workload due to the injuries to Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, but it also helps having Dejounte Murray to run the offense. Jones didn't get any defensive stats in this game, but that was the first time that has happened this season, so it isn't that he has had to sacrifice on that end to supply offense.
The fantasy basketball waiver wire always has players who can help fill holes in your roster. Here are the ones to add for the week ahead.
Jones is starting Thursday's game against the Suns, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Coach Willie Green said that Jones (shoulder) will operate under a minutes restriction in Thursday's game against the Suns, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports. "They'll [Jones and Ingram] be probably right at 30, maybe a little under or over that."
Jones has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since October. The 26-year-old small forward will be available for the first time in over a month, which is important given all the other injuries the Pelicans have dealt with so far this season.
