Friday was the first game the Pistons played since Jaden Ivey broke his leg and Wendell Moore Jr. started in his place. Moore Jr. played just 15 minutes and failed to score in his starting debut. Detroit is going with Ausar Thompson into the starting lineup Saturday. The starting position only adds to the 21-year-old small forward's fantasy value, though we'll have to wait and see if he sticks with the starters going forward.
Friday's game is the first for the Pistons since losing Jaden Ivey (leg) during Wednesday's win over the Magic. And Moore has received the nod to fill the void, with Ausar Thompson and Malik Beasley remaining in reserve roles. Fantasy managers who added Thompson or Beasley should not panic, as both will still have ample opportunities to provide value.
Duren only played 27 minutes as he continues to split time with Isaiah Stewart, but the 21-year-old center was still able to put up a great game. It certainly helped that Duren only missed one shot from the field and was able to pile up rebounds against a depleted Orlando frontcourt. Duren clearly has a ton of talent, but typically doesn't play enough minutes to be a top-100 fantasy asset.
Stewart is active after missing Detroit's last four games. His return means fewer minutes for Paul Reed, who may drop out of the rotation entirely. Jalen Duren will continue to play most of the available minutes at the center position.
Stewart has missed Detroit's last four games, including the first three of the Pistons' current road trip. Paul Reed has filled the void as Jalen Duren's backup, offering limited streaming value in that spot. He'll lose out on minutes if Stewart is available on Saturday.
