George and Kispert were injured during Washington's December 3 loss to Cleveland and have not played since. Their absences have freed up rotation minutes for Johnny Davis, who should not be streamed in fantasy leagues. Fantasy managers should focus on Bilal Coulibaly, Bub Carrington, and Justin Champagnie.
Coulibaly has begun to turn things around after enduring a six-game stretch in which he shot a brutal 17.6% from the field. After shooting 6-of-13 in Sunday's loss to the Wizards, the second-year wing matched his season-high with 27 points and went 10-of-18. The shot hasn't always been there for Coulibaly, but the Wizards have been happy to allow him to play through his struggles. Fantasy managers may have taken a hit in the FG% category on some nights, but the reward is performances like the one he turned in on Friday.
The Wizards' lone change to the starting lineup is significant: Sarr is back after a two-game absence. With Cleveland without Evan Mobley, Jonas Valanciunas returns to the bench after starting Washington's last two games. Managers who have JV rostered should know the drill by now; hold onto him, as he can still provide reliable fantasy value in a bench role.
Injuries have forced multiple changes to the Wizards' starting lineup. Carrington and Coulibaly will start because Malcolm Brogdon and Alex Sarr have been sidelined. The third change is Valanciunas, who replaces Marvin Bagley III to match up with Nikola Jokic.
Bagley has yet to play 10 minutes in a game this season, but he will get his first start of the year in this one, replacing Jonas Valanciunas, who will come off the bench. Bagley was solid as a starter for the Wizards late last season, but he will be a low-end streaming option in this one.
