Lazard was listed as a non-participant for the second straight practice. He was inactive against the Patriots in Week 8 and interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said on Monday that Lazard is week-to-week. Expect Lazard to sit out Thursday night against the Texans as Aaron Rodgers will be down one of his favorite targets for a second straight week.
That quote doesn't give us much confidence that Lazard will suit up for Thursday night's game against the Texans. Mike Williams would again draw Lazard's reps and be an option in 32-team leagues after his bagel on Sunday against the Patriots. Lazard was supposedly a game-time decision before Week 8, but he did not practice all week leading up to the game. He was, obviously, a DNP at today's estimated Jets practice as well.
The latest injury news and possible return dates for New York Jets players.
Mike Williams will be the third receiver and see work as the Jets either try to rehabilitate his trade value or ponder if he can take a role in the offense down the stretch, depending on who you ask. Also inactive for the Jets are: T Carter Warren, RB Israel Abanikanda, DL Leki Fotu, G Alijah Vera-Tucker, S Ashtyn Davis, and S Tony Adams. Vera-Tucker, Fotu, and Davis were all ruled out on Friday. Morgan Moses (questionable-knee) and Kenny Yeboah (questionable-abdomen) are both active.
Jets WR Allen Lazard (chest) is inactive for today s game vs. the Patriots. Mike Williams figures to step in as the No. 3 WR but would be a desperation fantasy play.
