With Justice Hill out for Week 17 because of a concussion, Ali was in line for RB2 duties this week. That didn't amount to much as he earned one carry which was a loss of three yards. Keaton Mitchell could ascend to the No. 2 role for Week 18 if Ali and Hill remain out.
Flowers is able to go as expected even while working on short rest while dealing with a shoulder injury. It's good news for a receiving corp that will be without Nelson Agholor due at concussion. The rest of the Ravens inactives for the Christmas showdown are RB Justice Hill, RB Justice Hill (concussion), CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (hamstring), S Marcus Williams, OLB Adisa Isaac and C Nick Samac.
Ravens RB Justice Hill (concussion) is out for Wednesday's game vs. the Texans. He leads Baltimore RBs with a 48% route rate and 12% target share this season. Hill's absence should mean more passing-down work for RB Derrick Henry. You were starting him in season-long leagues anyway, but this gives him a little more value in DFS contests.
Ditto Nelson Agholor. Neither player practiced this week and both should be considered questionable for Week 18. It was always unlikely that Hill would clear protocol in just four days. We rarely if ever see players cleared for Thursday Night Football under such circumstances. Rasheen Ali saw nine snaps in relief of Hill last week and it's possible he caddies for Derrick Henry on passing downs during Wednesday's game. Keaton Mitchell could also see snaps there despite being a healthy scratch each of the last two weeks.
Hill suffered a concussion in Saturday's win over the Steelers and feels like a long shot to play on Wednesday against the Texans, given the short week. Barring a surprise development, there's a good chance Rasheen Ali and Keaton Mitchell will play backups to Derrick Henry in Week 17.
