The Raiders placed RB Sincere McCormick on IR with the ankle injury he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Falcons. That ends his 2024 season. McCormick flashed with 4.7 yards per carry over the last four weeks, which should earn him an opportunity to win a role in this backfield this offseason. He's a low-end dynasty stash. McCormick's absence leaves Vegas' backfield to Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah the rest of the way. Mattison is a volume-based RB3 option.

Sincere McCormick earned the start for the second consecutive week before bowing out in the second quarter with an ankle injury he initially attempted to play through, after which time Mattison served as the primary rusher to little effect. The team rotated pass-catching specialist Ameer Abdullah through at an elevated rate considering the negative game environment, who amassed 58 yards through the air on seven receptions to go along with eight yards on three carries. There is little fantasy value in a backfield averaging the fewest rush yards per game this season, regardless of McCormick's status moving forward.

Raiders RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. He'll play for the first time since Week 11 but has lost the starting job to RB Sincere McCormick. Mattison should not be in Week 15 fantasy lineups.

Head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday that Mattison would "probably" be active for Week 15's game against the Vikings, so his being a full participant to open the week doesn't come as much of a surprise. Unfortunately for Mattison, Pierce also said Sincere McCormick has earned the right to serve as the team's RB1, making Mattison impossible to play in Week 15 even if he's active.

Raiders HC Antonio Pierce said Wednesday that RB Sincere McCormick will remain the team's lead back even when RB Alexander Mattison returns from his quad injury. "He s deserved it," Pierce said of McCormick. "Last week, he was running his tail off, so keep running it, keep pushing those numbers up, see if we can get him to 100 [yards]." McCormick has given the Raiders their most productive running of the season over the last three weeks, totaling 175 rushing yards on 5.5 yards per carry. His upside is limited with a minimal pass-catching role on a bad offense. But McCormick could be a serviceable RB3 over the next three weeks vs. Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.
