The Jaguars’ offense has suffered multiple notable injuries in 2024, and the unit is set to be further shorthanded. Wideout Gabe Davis is feared to have suffered a meniscus tear, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network report. Washington did little this week and was not targeted in Week 10. He would not normally be on the fantasy radar, but Gabe Davis left this game with a non-contact knee injury and did not return. With Christian Kirk already done for the year, Washington may be forced into the No. 2 receiver role following Jacksonville's Week 12 bye. Fantasy managers with deep benched could do worse on the waiver wire this week, though expectations remain low for all Jacksonville players until Trevor Lawrence returns.
Engram led the Jags with eight targets last week and tied Brian Thomas Jr. for a team-high in targets this time around. It was all for naught in both contests as he went for 40 scoreless yards in Week 10 and did even less this time around. Even though Mac Jones has leaned on Engram as an outlet option in two starts, the offense is in no state to support a TE1. Engram will reclaim his TE1 ranking if Trevor Lawrence is back after the Jags' Week 12 bye but will be stuck just outside the top 12 if he can't suit up.
The Jags appeared to have a puncher's chance at pulling off the upset on the opening drive. Jones began the day with five straight completions, all short throws, to set up Cam Little for a long field goal. That was just about the highlight of the day for Jags fans as Jones would go on to mount one more scoring drive before halftime and didn't get any points on the board after the break. Jones rarely pushed the ball downfield and had next to no success when doing so. He had three completions of more than 10 yards and all three were to Brian Thomas Jr. Jones doesn't have the arm talent or the decision-making to keep the offense on schedule and get points on the board. Even if Trevor Lawrence is out after the Jags' Week 12 bye, Jones will not be on the fantasy radar.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence won t be Jacksonville s only major offensive contributor absent from Sunday s matchup with Detroit.
