Valdes-Scantling had another long score against Cleveland after going off last week for 109 yards and two touchdowns. MVS caught an underneath path and took it the distance (71 yards) against a seemingly uninterested Browns secondary. Running a pass route on 26 of the team's 29 drop backs, MVS operated as the Saints WR1 with Chris Olave (concussion) sidelined. While Valdes-Scantling is unlikely to keep scoring long touchdowns in the conservative New Orleans offense, he should be rostered in most 12-team leagues and will profile as top-40 option in Week 12 against the Rams.
Bears cornerback Jaylon Jones and Saints receiver Chris Olave were added to the IR this week.
He's visiting a specialist this week and the Saints are reportedly content to take the four week timeline for now, meaning Olave could return for Week 15 against the Commanders. That doesn't make him a must-roster in fantasy for teams that are desperate for roster spots, and the fact that the question was asked in the first place is concerning in its own right after Olave suffered his second major concussion of the season in Week 9.
Kamara was once again the entire New Orleans offense with Chris Olave (concussion) sidelined. It could have been a much bigger stat line for Kamara if he hadn't dropped an easy 60-yard touchdown to ice the game late in the fourth quarter. Kamara was elusive throughout, and nearly broke a couple long runs in the first half. He now has 57 touches over the past two weeks in a Saints offense with precious few viable offenses pieces remaining. Kamara will be locked in for another heavy workload in Week 11 against the Browns.
Valdes-Scantling, who signed with the Saints in late October, worked as the team's clear No. 1 receiver with Chris Olave (concussion) out. He beat the Atlanta secondary for a 66-yard catch following his lengthy touchdown grab. That was followed by a red zone touchdown reception near the back of the end zone. Only Alvin Kamara had more targets than Valdes-Scantling on the day. MVS profiles as a volatile deep threat who could see decent opportunity in the New Orleans offense going forward.
