The Cowboys were looking for production behind CeeDee Lamb all season, and got some with Jalen Tolbert. He caught 49-of-79 passes for 610 yards and seven touchdowns this season. With Brandin Cooks missing time, Tolbert worked both out of the slot and on the perimeter, making plays in the intermediate range for the multiple Cowboys quarterbacks. Tolbert enters the final year of his rookie deal in 2025 and profiles as a WR4 for Dynasty leagues. He has a real chance of permanently taking the Cowboys' No. 2 wideout role, though the team could still look to add to the receiver room in the offseason.
Lance got the call for his first start in 28 months after spending the season as the Cowboys' No. 3 quarterback. He got off to a fast start, tossing a floater to Jalen Tolbert for 31 yards as his first completion. However, the Cowboys offense floundered the rest of the game, failing to finish many drives in an ultimate loss. Lance played four games in 2024, ending his fourth NFL season as a reserve quarterback with 266 passing yards, one interception, and no touchdowns. The Cowboys have decisions to make with their backup quarterback spot as both Lance and Cooper Rush are set to hit free agency. We have only seen one start from Lance in over two years, making it difficult for him to have any sort of fantasy relevancy moving forward.
Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks led the team in targets (8), receptions (4), and receiving yards (52) with WR CeeDee Lamb out for Sunday's loss to the Eagles. All three marks also set season highs for Cooks. TE Jake Ferguson (5), WR Jalen Tolbert (4), and WR/RB Kavontae Turpin (4) trailed him in targets.
