Kittle founded the holiday, so of course he celebrated accordingly
The Falcons and Buccaneers celebrated National TE Day with Kyle Pitts and Cade Otton each scoring two TDs. Pitts ended catching four of five targets for 91 yards while Otton caught nine of 10 targets for 81 yards. Pitts nearly gave one of his away with a fumble over the goal line, but was ruled a TD.
Jarrett came out of nowhere for a couple long receptions in the second half, though he ran a route on just 11 of Baker Mayfield's 53 drop backs. Cade Otton and the Bucs' running backs will continue functioning as the primary pass catchers for the time being. Jarrett could see increased playing time after a solid Week 8 outing, however.
Otton secured nine of 10 targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin sidelined, Otton functioned as the Bucs' top pass-catching option and made the most of his opportunity. Otton how has 17 catches for 181 yards and two scores over his past two games and appears to be a top tight end option in the deleted Tampa offense. Baker Mayfield looks to Otton first on critical plays, including near the end zone. He has a chance to be a top three or four option in Week 9 against Kansas City.
