TE Grant Calcaterra led the Eagles with 5 receptions in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He snagged all 5 targets and tallied 30 yards, all of which came in the first half -- with A.J. Brown still around.
Working as the team's No. 1 tight end with Dallas Goedert (hamstring) still sidelined, Calcaterra was second among Eagles pass catchers in targets, functioning as a reliable dump off option for Jalen Hurts. Calcaterra, who ran a pass route on 32 of Hurts' 37 drop backs against the Jags, now has eight catches for 88 yards over the past two games. He should be viable in deeper leagues for as long as Goedert is sidelined.
The Eagles defense will be shorthanded against Jacksonville, missing Slay -- who sustained a serious groin injury in Week 8 -- and McCollum. They'll also be without Dallas Goedert, who continues to miss time with a hamstring injury. Grant Calcaterra will again function as the team's TE1 in Week 9.
Goedert will miss his third game with the issue and has not yet resumed practicing. Backup Grant Calcaterra is not a recommended streamer. The team also ruled out No. 1 CB Darius Slay Jr. (groin).
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) remained sidelined in practice all week and is out for Sunday s game vs. the Jaguars. That ll give TE Grant Calcaterra another start. He s caught all eight of his targets for 130 yards over the last three weeks.
