NBC SportsJaguars coach Doug Pederson said Gabe Davis (meniscus) is out for the season.

Davis ends his first year in Jacksonville with nine starts, 20 catches, and 239 yards with two scores. He played at least 69 percent of the snaps in every game he finished and never had more than five catches in any game, settling for a one-catch game on four separate occasions. For the privilege, Davis got a $10 million signing bonus. One of Trent Baalke's greatest follies yet -- and that's saying something -- Davis will almost undoubtedly be brought back on a $6.7 million cap figure next year since cutting him would cost the Jaguars $13.6 million in cap space. In his absence, look for Tim Jones and Devin Duvernay to get more run. No Jaguars are truly fantasy viable while Mac Jones is leading the charge.

NBC SportsGabe Davis suffered a knee injury in Week 11 against the Lions and will not return.

Davis went down with a non-contact knee injury in the third quarter and was ruled out almost immediately. The Jags were well into garbage time when Davis went down, but that doesn't appear to be why he is done for the day. The Jaguars are on bye next week, giving Davis an extra week of rest if the injury isn't a long-term issue. Tim Jones and Parker Washington will see more work in his absence.

Draft SharksBrian Thomas Expected To Play Week 7, Gabe Davis A "Long Shot"

Jaguars WR Brian Thomas (chest) is expected to play vs. the Eagles today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. But WR Gabe Davis is considered a "long shot." Davis figures to be replaced by WR Tim Jones, who is not a fantasy option. Thomas carries elevated risk playing through the chest injury, but there's also exciting target upside with Davis and WR Christian Kirk out.
