Charbonnet was limited during Wednesday and Thursday's sessions after picking up an oblique injury during the blowout loss to the Packers on Sunday. Even if the 23-year-old is able to play, his role will likely be limited -- considerably -- with the presumed return of Kenneth Walker from his calf injury. Kenny McIntosh would be the backup if Charbonnet did miss Week 16 against the Vikings.
Walker was officially listed as DNP, but had done some walkthrough activities earlier in the day, according to head coach Mike Macdonald. He has missed two straight games due to his calf injury and the Seahawks will hope he practices this week to play in Week 16. With Zach Charbonnet (oblique) also not practicing, Kenny McIntosh is in line to start if Walker is not ready to go against the Packers.
Charbonnet pops up on the injury report with a new oblique injury and did not practice on Wednesday. He has started the past two games with Kenneth Walker (calf) out, but now picks up his own injury to put his status in jeopardy for Week 16. If Charbonnet cannot practice the rest of the week, the Seahawks would hope for either Walker to return or rely on Kenny McIntosh to carry the load against the Packers.
Mike Macdonald is already telling reporters that Walker doesn't necessarily need to practice in order to play and Walker's injured calf required further testing earlier this week. While his malady could certainly improve, it currently looks as though Zach Charbonnet will handle another high-volume, dual-threat workload with Walker again sidelined in Week 15. No. 3 RB Kenny McIntosh is worth stashing in very deep leagues.
In a run heavy game script, McIntosh totaled nine touches while Zach Charbonnet went ballistic on 29 touches. McIntosh could once again function as the Seahawks' No. 2 back in Week 15 against the Packers if Ken Walker (calf) remains out.
